CUET 2023 Minimum Scores: Section-wise
There are several parts to CUET 2023, such as Section I, Section II, and Section III. Here are the CUET 2023 qualifying marks, broken down by section:
Section I: Language
In the CUET Sections IA and IB, candidates can choose up to three languages. The questions in this section are meant to test the students’ vocabulary and reading skills. The candidates will have 45 minutes to answer at least 40 out of the 50 questions in the language of their choice.
In the language section of the CUET, you need between 80 and 90 points to pass. This means that students should get between 160 and 180 marks for sections IA and IB as a whole. 5% will be taken off the tuition for students in the reserved category.
Domain-Specific Subjects (Part II)
Aside from the three language options, candidates can choose from a total of 27 domain subjects, from which they can pick up to six. Candidates must try at least 40-50 questions on every domain exam to qualify CUET. Every domain can only be used for 45 minutes at a time.
The highest score a person can get in this section is 300. To get into the Domain section of CUET 2023, candidates must get over 120 marks.
Section III: Test of General Ability
Students’ general knowledge, math skills, and ability to think logically will be judged on the CUET general test. The students will be given a choice of 75 questions, and they will have 60 minutes to answer 60 of them. Like in section II, candidates must get at least 120 points to pass this section.
Who decides where the cut-offs for CUET are?
All of the institutes that are taking part in CUET 2023 will be responsible for setting their own cut-off scores. To get on the CUET 2023 merit list, students must get the same or more points than the announced cut-off points. The CUET cut-offs will be different for each course and category. Since the CUET exam is based strictly on the CBSE Class 12 Syllabus, students who did well on their board exams were able to do well on the CUET Exam.
If a person gets 640 out of 800 points on the CUET Exam, their percentile is 80. Top colleges will accept applicants with a score of 80 percentile or higher. And if a student wants to go to a moderate college, he or she must get a score of 500 or higher.
Aside from getting at least 60% in CUET 2023, students should also score at or above the CUET cut-off that the university they want to go to has set. The CUET cut-off can be shown as a ranking, a score, or a percentile. This is up to the universities that are taking part. Applicants will only be considered for admission if they meet or beat the CUET cut-off score.
