The trek begins at Joshimath in the Chamoli region of the Himalayas. Making it a prime destination for trekkers and pilgrims from this region of the Himalayas. The first step is his 4-day trip to Qualipas (6 days for him if you count the travel days from Rishikesh to Joshimath). Visit famous pilgrimage sites such as Haridwar and Joshimath and Devprayag and Rishikesh. A 31 km trek leads to the Kuali Pass in the Garhwal Himalayas. From the summit of the trek at an altitude of 12,516 feet, you can see Dronagiri, Chitrakantha, Chaukhamba and Tali. The interplay of meadows and beautiful forests of oaks and rhododendrons adds to the beauty of the trip. Along the way, you can enjoy breathtaking views of sacred rivers such as Bagirathi and Alaknanda making the climb even more exciting.

Kuari Pass Trek itinerary

The Kuari Pass Trek is a challenging yet fulfilling expedition to the Garhwal Himalayas. This trek takes one through lush green meadows, snow-capped peaks, and serene campsites. The trek begins from Auli and passes through some of the most picturesque villages of Joshimath. Along the way, one can witness the majestic Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Hathi Ghoda and Ghori peaks. After crossing the Kuari Pass, the trek ends at the famous Gulling village.

The itinerary of the Kuari Pass Trek includes 4 days of trekking, one day for acclimatization and one day for sightseeing. Day 1 begins with a drive from Auli to Joshimath. The next day, the trek begins from Joshimath and follows the Nanda Devi Sanctuary trail. On day 3, trekkers cross the Kuari Pass at an altitude of 4,264 meters

  

 How to reach the Site?

To get there, you should first visit Rishikesh which is a popular spiritual escapade itself. Despite the fact which most people visit Rishikesh in search of inner peace. From Delhi to Rishikesh the route goes something along the following lines:

Delhi – Haridwar – Rishikesh:

In the morning, catch an AC train to Haridwar at 06:50 o’clock. After your arrival in Haridwar, meet a guide that will help you get to Rishikesh and help you check into your hotel.

Rishikesh – Nandprayag – Ghat:

The Ghat is the cornerstone of our trek.

Ghat – Sutol – Ghunni :

Hop aboard the local jeep for the village and then trek to the village of Ghunni.

Ghunni – Jhinjhi Village:

Day is planned for a long hike to the town of Jhinjhi. The trek is a blend of many heights and lows.

Jhinjhi – Pana Village:

We go trekking through a valley or a forest along the river and eventually across the bridge.

Pana – Dakhwani:

Trek is a blend of forest, alpine meadow, water fountains and lateral brooks.

Dakhwani – Kuari Pass – Tali:

Now you can see the beautiful view of summits such as Dronagiri and Nanda Devi and Changbang and Hathi Godhi Parvat etc from the pass.

Tali – Auli- Joshimath – Rudraprayag:

Apiece season adds its unique brush stroke to the body of the collar by adorning it with magnificent colors in all weather, summer, winter, monsoon, spring. The fall months from mid-September to early November with little or no snow are the best, it is the spring season that brings out the fascinating character of the hiking path. With enough snow on the way, the collar reaches its full glory this season. During the springs you get to experience the sight of the bushes clothed with bright pink flowers laid out in the golden meadows and the bugyal with the snow-covered valleys in the background.

The beauty of nature can bring peace and tranquillity to the mind of any traveller. During the day listening to the birds singing in the forest or watching herds of sheep grazing on lush green fields is calming. At night, looking at a star-filled sky above dark forests filled with oak trees provides a sense of awe. All this while surrounded by silence and natural surroundings that are imposing and beautiful at once.
